About the role#
Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Product Intern to join a cross-functional team focused on building, refining, and growing software products. This is a broad, hands-on role where you will contribute to real projects from the start, working between analytical and research-oriented tasks.
What you'll do#
- Analyze product adoption and engagement to identify patterns in usage and market opportunities.
- Contribute to lead scoring, segmentation, and the creation of charts and dashboards to support team prioritization.
- Support go-to-market efforts, including user education, onboarding, and adoption tracking.
- Plan and execute usability tests, interviews, and surveys.
- Draft research protocols and discussion guides under the guidance of senior staff.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into reports, journey maps, and actionable recommendations.
- Assist with team logistics, documentation, and process coordination to improve operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- An analytical, pattern-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret data independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear written work and visualizations.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to shift between different project types.
- Familiarity with data analysis, user research, or product work gained through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Interest in progressive politics and civic technology.
- Academic background in fields such as Political Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8th to November 20th).
- Compensation: $20/hr.
- Status: Full-time.
