Intern - Ag Technician

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity for John Deere Ag Tech students to gain hands-on experience within a dealership service department. The program runs in conjunction with the John Deere Ag Tech program, combining classroom learning with practical, on-site service work. This is a paid, full-time, rolling internship.

What you'll do#

• Participate in service-related projects and shadow experienced personnel to gain departmental expertise.
• Perform basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Complete all required reports, forms, and time cards accurately.
• Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs to develop technical skills.
• Maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations while performing assignments.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Currently pursuing an AAS Degree in the John Deere Tech program.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to repeatedly lift at least 75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift license (preferred).

This is an on-site role available in the following locations: Rugby, Dickinson, Minot, Williston, Mohall, Kenmare, Stanley, Velva, Harvey, Beach, Bowman, and Elgin, North Dakota; and Lemmon, South Dakota.
