About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, for-credit internship for the Fall 2026 term at Genesis Drug Discovery & Development (GD³). The intern will join a multi-disciplinary team to support research projects, including hit to lead and lead optimization efforts against novel drug targets. The role may also involve library synthesis of compounds for research collections or collaborative projects with partner companies.
What you'll do#
- Perform organic synthesis for ongoing research projects.
- Participate in library synthesis of compounds.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Report to the Department Director or other assigned supervisors.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a major in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and structural characterization.
- Familiarity with modern chromatographic techniques, including flash chromatography, preparative scale HPLC, and LCMS.
- Experience in parallel synthesis or solid phase chemistry.

- This position is located in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site role that requires reporting to the office every workday.
