Class of 2027 Investment Analyst

About the role#

General Atlantic is seeking an Investment Analyst for the Class of 2027. This summer internship position is designed for students graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 who are interested in gaining exposure to the full investment lifecycle. Analysts work closely with deal teams to support new investment opportunities through prospecting, thematic research, and due diligence.

What you'll do#

• Develop investment theses and industry expertise through research, market mapping, and due diligence on specific targets.
• Provide investment sourcing and support both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Interact directly with entrepreneurs and management teams.
• Gain exposure to multiple diligence workstreams, including financial analysis, customer research, valuation, and competitive benchmarking.
• Perform proprietary research through meetings with industry participants, customers, and advisors.
• Contribute to investment memoranda and materials for the Investment Committee.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution in the US.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and the ability to build and interpret complex models independently.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and business fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and entrepreneurs.
