    About the role#

    GenBio AI is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Palo Alto. You will work on building and scaling full-stack applications that interface with our foundation models, contributing to our goal of simulating human biology.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to build and scale full-stack applications.
    • Take end-to-end ownership of software projects, with a focus on developing interactive frontend user interfaces.
    • Design and deploy scalable backend systems, including RESTful APIs and CRUD operations.
    • Implement core observability practices, such as structured logging, distributed tracing, and system metrics to ensure application reliability.
    • Work alongside AI and machine learning researchers to integrate models into functional web platforms.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a full-time Master's or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and modular system design.
    • Proficiency in modern frontend development, specifically React and TypeScript.
    • Experience designing backend architectures using FastAPI.
    • An adaptable, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage projects from conception to deployment.
