Intern - Roadway Engineering

About the role#

This Roadway Engineering internship provides the opportunity to gain professional experience by supporting infrastructure projects. You will work within a team environment, receiving mentorship and supervision from experienced engineers while contributing to the design and development of transportation systems.

What you'll do#

• Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Assist with fundamental engineering tasks, including basic calculations and data entry into analysis software.
• Participate in field assignments, such as roadway and highway inspections.
• Support various project phases by reviewing design drawings and proofreading technical reports.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in Roadway and Highway Engineering.
• Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.
• Strong communication skills and a self-motivated approach to teamwork.
• A willingness to learn from and collaborate with experienced professionals.
