The Phillip Bevington Policy & Research Internship offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage with the intersection of policy, philanthropy, and politics. Interns work alongside staff at all levels of the firm, gaining experience in high-level strategic communications and interacting with a diverse client base. This is a part-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term, requiring 20 hours of work per week over a 9 to 12-week period.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects through high-level research and writing.
- Support the creation of strategic policy deliverables, including memos and reports.
- Gain skills in communications, messaging, coalition management, and issue tracking.
- Explore and deepen your understanding of a variety of policy issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student.
- Strong writing and organizational abilities.
- Intellectual curiosity and a team-oriented mindset.
- High attention to detail.
- Previous research experience is preferred.
- Ability to work during firm operating hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT).

This role is available to students residing in California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or Washington. The position offers remote work, with an optional hybrid office policy for those based in the Washington, DC area.
