The NYC Chapter Intern will support the local operations of the Founder Institute, working directly with founders and managing directors. This role provides an opportunity to gain insights into the startup lifecycle, from initial ideation through the fundraising process, while working within a global accelerator network.
What you'll do#
- Perform weekly homework checks to ensure founders remain on track with program milestones.
- Prepare and present weekly summaries for Managing Directors, highlighting founder progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Attend weekly cohort sessions and support meeting logistics.
- Assist in the preparation of pitches, demos, and other founder presentations.
- Help plan and organize startup ecosystem events.
- Manage day-to-day operational tasks to ensure smooth program execution.
What you'll need#
- A genuine interest in the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- A responsible approach to managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Relevant academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or Political Science is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote with periodic in-person events in New York, NY.
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 (April 2026 – October 2026).
- Commitment: 5-10 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. The program supports academic course credit and offers the opportunity to earn equity in graduating cohort companies.
