IT Infrastructure Internship

About the role#

The IT Infrastructure Intern will work alongside experienced IT professionals on high-impact projects supporting network, cloud security, and datacenter operations. This role provides exposure to enterprise networking, AWS cloud security, and cybersecurity best practices while contributing to business-critical initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Draft a network migration plan to eliminate Irvine as a single point of failure for WAN connectivity.
• Identify and implement security improvements for SaaS products in the AWS cloud, including reviews of SSL/TLS configurations, S3 permissions, and firewall rules.
• Participate in the planning and execution of a 5S event within the Irvine datacenter.
• Manage datacenter tasks such as inventory, sorting, removal of unused equipment, and the setup of maintenance standard work.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
• Strong understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and cloud computing fundamentals.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively.
