This internship supports the UK government in delivering the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) campaign in Jamaica. The role offers the opportunity to build professional experience in diplomacy, communications, programme management, and stakeholder engagement while gaining insight into regional VAWG politics.
What you'll do#
- Support the communications team in the procurement of a communications agency to execute the campaign.
- Assist with the planning and logistics for VAWG missions, official visits, and related work streams.
- Develop a comprehensive stakeholder map and matrix.
- Provide the Senior Leadership Team with the information necessary to embed and deliver the campaign across the mission.
- Work with the Social Development Advisor and project consultants to contribute to the day-to-day management and strategic output of the campaign.
What you'll need#
- Academic background in Political Science, International Relations, Communications, or Sociology.
- Demonstrated diplomatic, communication, programme management, and relationship development skills.
- An understanding of the political landscape surrounding VAWG in the region.
