Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

About the role#

As a Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2026, you will have the opportunity to own large initiatives end-to-end. You will work alongside senior engineers with the same level of responsibility and autonomy as full-time staff, contributing directly to a product you use yourself.

What you'll do#

• Imagine, design, deploy, and iterate on new product features from start to finish, such as building systems for LLM-based content moderation, architecting content recommendation engines, or developing features like campus events and job postings.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code to meet project requirements.
• Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers to support ongoing development tasks and projects.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current or graduating college student and an active user of Fizz.
• Strong fundamentals in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, networking, operating systems, and databases.
• Proven experience building products from the ground up (0-1).
• Direct experience with parts of the company tech stack, including Swift, Google Cloud Platform, TypeScript, or Node.js.
