Student Worker

About the role#

As a Student Worker, you will support the Environmental Services team at Blenheim Community Village. This role involves performing minor environmental tasks and maintaining exterior grounds under the direction of your supervisor. You will work in a position of trust, interacting with residents while upholding the organization's standards for ethics and integrity.

What you'll do#

• Carry out minor environmental tasks within your skill set under supervisor direction.
• Maintain exterior grounds, excluding services covered by external contracts.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Uphold organizational values regarding ethics, morality, and integrity.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Capacity to self-regulate and work independently.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including the movement of heavy objects.
• Foundational knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Must provide or be willing to obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Pursuing studies in Environmental Engineering, Nursing, Human Resources, or Criminal Justice.
