This part-time Operations Internship provides an opportunity to support the Operations Department at Extant Aerospace. You will work under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager to manage daily tasks and complete assigned projects. The role requires eligibility to work with export-controlled products and data.
What you'll do#
- Receive day-to-day direction and project assignments from the Plant Manager.
- Define and implement a process improvement project directly related to FY27 productivity goals.
- Manage project check-ins to ensure successful and timely completion.
- Deliver a formal presentation of your project outcomes to the senior leadership team at the end of the assignment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Junior or senior academic standing.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects.

- Location: Melbourne, Florida.
- Term: Fall 2026, beginning in August.
- Schedule: Part-time, averaging approximately 8 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
