About the role#
This internship provides a hands-on, educational training experience focused on professional post-production support workflows. Interns work within a controlled sandbox environment to learn how editorial teams manage projects from footage intake through final delivery. The program emphasizes mentorship, with consistent guidance and feedback provided throughout the training period. While the focus is on learning, interns may eventually support active client work under direct supervision based on their training progress.
What you'll do#
- Learn professional post-production workflows, including media ingest, project organization, and file naming conventions.
- Create footage stringouts for review.
- Prepare ingest reports and track project assets.
- Support transcription and captioning workflows.
- Assist with technical prep for color, mix, exports, and final deliverables.
- Participate in quality control and project wrap/archive processes.
- Engage in regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and workflow reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in film, media, production, editing, communications, or a related field.
- A strong interest in post-production and assistant editor workflows.
- Basic familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and checklists accurately.
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and receive feedback.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding project materials.

- Location: Franklin, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.

- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, though it may be eligible for academic credit depending on your institution's requirements.
