About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time summer internship based at the Estes corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. The position runs from May to August 2026 for a maximum of 3 months. Interns will work closely with management and team members to gain a thorough understanding of human resources business processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with assigned HR projects and initiatives.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, research, auditing, proofing, data analysis, and reporting.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
- Track and maintain HR records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
- Participate in on-the-job training within the HR department.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of post-secondary education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work under tight constraints.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs and perform standard office tasks like sitting and using a computer for extended periods.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
