Intern - Component Engineering Team

About the role#

The Component Engineering Intern works under the supervision and mentorship of the Component Engineering staff to support day-to-day engineering operations. This developmental position is designed to expose students to a technical business environment, assisting with modeling, analysis, and testing activities to prepare for future career decisions.

What you'll do#

• Participate in technical projects designed to develop professional skills.
• Support daily engineering operations, including system analysis, component lifecycle management, and part library maintenance.
• Collect component data, perform initial analysis, and prepare engineering summaries.
• Conduct research and prepare written reports that include findings, recommendations, and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and internal or external partners to plan assignments and complete project deliverables.
• Contribute to automating routine tasks and improving internal workflows.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in a technical discipline with a high school diploma.
• Completion of at least 2–3 years of coursework toward an Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to apply logical and scientific methods to technical problem solving.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
