About the role#
The HDQ Financial Analyst Intern supports the Finance and Accounting team through structured rotations across key functional areas including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Payroll, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Tax, and Financial Planning and Analysis. This role provides hands-on exposure to core financial operations, reporting, and analytical processes while building a foundation in accounting principles, internal controls, and financial analysis.
What you'll do#
- Assist with invoice generation, customer billing, and the application of cash receipts.
- Monitor aging reports and support collections follow-ups.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding, approvals, and statement reconciliation.
- Support treasury documentation, payroll reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including the maintenance of audit-ready workpapers.
- Help with asset capitalization, depreciation calculations, and periodic physical inventory verification.
- Prepare tax schedules and conduct research on basic tax-related matters.
- Contribute to financial modeling, variance analysis, and data trend identification.
- Support special projects, audits, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting, including the preparation of accruals, prepayments, and financial statements.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to manage projects, plan effectively, and prioritize tasks.
