About the role#
The School Program Intern supports the Education Department in implementing youth and family programming. This 10-week paid internship provides experience in delivering educational content, managing program materials, and engaging with visitors. The role requires a commitment of 2-3 days per week, totaling approximately 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and deliver assigned programs, including tours and family events.
- Provide program introductions to groups of elementary-age students, teachers, and chaperones.
- Maintain, set up, and take down program materials.
- Assist with the preparation of family programming and monitor educational materials.
- Maintain a positive and helpful demeanor while serving members and visitors.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate in education, environmental education, or related fields.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to maintain education materials and keep accurate records.
