Intern Electrical Engineering

About the role#

Decision Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support hardware development and engineering projects. This role provides hands-on experience with electronics design, circuit development, and hardware integration within a professional engineering environment. Interns will work alongside experienced staff to gain exposure to real-world electronics development and testing processes.

What you'll do#

• Assist with reverse engineering printed circuit cards and cable assemblies to develop schematics and layouts.
• Support the design and development of multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Prepare circuit card documentation and implement design updates.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication shops to support PCB production.
• Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and verifying circuit cards and electronic components.
• Assist with hardware integration and assembly efforts.
• Maintain engineering notes, technical documentation, and test results.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• A strong interest in electronics design, circuit boards, and hardware engineering.
• A basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and electronic components.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new engineering processes and technologies.
• Exposure to PCB design software, circuit schematics, soldering, or test equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes is a plus.
