About the role#
The Industrialization Intern will support the development and execution of projects that advance manufacturing and industrialization strategies at De Havilland Field. This role provides exposure to aerospace manufacturing environments, project coordination, and process improvement initiatives while reporting to the Industrialization Supervisor.
What you'll do#
- Support projects aimed at improving production efficiency and process performance.
- Assist in manufacturing cell design and plant layout planning through data collection and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to support industrialization plans for new aircraft programs.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of new manufacturing technologies.
- Support budget tracking and project documentation to ensure adherence to timelines and financial targets.
- Assist in ensuring that all tooling, work instructions, and production resources are prepared for program launches.
- Liaise with production teams to support station setup and production readiness.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Technical or Engineering post-secondary program, such as Industrial, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong interest in aerospace manufacturing and industrial project management.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or SolidWorks for manufacturing layouts and process visualization.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
