David Zwirner is seeking an Events Intern to join the Marketing department in New York. This role supports the Director of Events and involves regular interaction with artists, curators, collectors, and vendors. Candidates should demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and strong client-facing skills while gaining experience in the daily operations of a contemporary art gallery.
What you'll do#
- Research potential event venues and maintain venue presentations.
- Support private client, in-gallery, and select public events.
- Use the internal CRM database to organize guest lists and manage data upkeep.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Client Development, and Sales teams on client outreach and RSVPs.
- Archive historic event collateral in the internal asset management database.
- Assist with physical tasks such as moving boxes or tables weighing 10-20 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience in event programming or client relations.
- Interest in the NYC restaurant, hospitality, and entertainment industries.
- Excellent communication and data management skills.
- Highly organized, personable, and responsible approach to work.
- Academic background in Art, Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 17 – December 18, 2026).
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 10 AM – 6 PM, with additional hours required for evening events.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at $17/hour.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be residents of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. No lodging or commuting expenses are provided.
