Accounting / Finance Intern

About the role#

CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. offers an 8-week summer internship program for students interested in Accounting and Finance. This program provides hands-on experience within the transportation industry, allowing interns to work on projects that create value for internal and external stakeholders. Interns will engage in professional development, participate in team meetings, and present a capstone project to senior business leaders at the end of the term.

What you'll do#

• Gain exposure to core accounting concepts, including revenue recognition, the matching principle, and the accrual principle.
• Support and utilize the McLeod ERP system.
• Participate in status meetings and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with various departments to build effective communication and relationship-building skills.
• Present a capstone project to senior business leaders at the conclusion of the 8-week period.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a similar business-related field.
• Must be a junior-level college student with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Strong technical acumen and a clear desire for a career in Accounting or Finance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in both individual and group problem-solving settings.
