The Civil Engineering Intern will work with the design team to complement academic knowledge with hands-on experience. Under the supervision of a Project Engineer, you will perform routine engineering tasks using standard procedures.
What you'll do#
- Assist the design team in preparing technical reports, calculations, and construction documents.
- Prepare permit applications and submittal packages for relevant agencies.
- Coordinate with permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct research, interpret codes, and implement client requirements.
- Perform periodic travel for site investigations and construction observation.
- Review specifications and shop drawings, conduct field observations, and prepare inspection reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or holding a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Ability to work 16-20 hours per week consistently throughout the year.
- AutoCAD experience is considered a plus.
