Pharmacist Intern PD

About the role#

As a Pharmacist Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services to the healthcare team and patients. Your duties will be consistent with your training and experience, ensuring all medication preparation and dispensing activities are conducted according to established legal and safety standards.

What you'll do#

• Process medication orders.
• Monitor patient medication profiles for hypersensitivities, allergies, idiosyncrasies, and incompatibilities.
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications and IV solutions.
• Evaluate drugs and supplies for procurement and assist in supplier selection.
• Participate in assigned department projects.
• Assist in the collection, compilation, and interpretation of adverse drug reactions.
• Perform regular unit inspections.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current pharmacy intern licensure.
• Ability to assess data reflective of a patient's status and interpret information to identify specific patient needs, including age-related factors, medical conditions, and allergies.
