About the role#
The Information Technology and Cybersecurity Intern will support the maintenance and documentation of company systems. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining compliance with industry cybersecurity standards, including CMMC, ISO27001, and NIST. You will work closely with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and other cybersecurity specialists.
What you'll do#
- Manage company systems and the documentation library.
- Establish and maintain compliance with industry cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate with the Information System Security Officer and cybersecurity team members.
- Ensure ongoing adherence to established cybersecurity protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Residency within a HUBZone is required.
- General competency with computer systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Basic working knowledge of cybersecurity, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a professional, independent work ethic.
