This internship provides mechanical engineering students with hands-on experience within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Department. You will balance priorities across multiple engineering teams and collaborate with departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Sales. Depending on the specific project, you may work in a manufacturing setting, a lab or testing environment, or an office setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with research, testing, and evaluations.
- Process documentation and conduct data analysis.
- Conduct manufacturing audits.
- Assist with process improvement projects tied to manufacturing.
- Attend department, team, and project meetings as necessary.
- Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to prototype solutions and solve problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, or product design.
- Skills or coursework in areas such as CAD/3D modeling, machining, data analysis, Lean/continuous improvement, or automation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
