Intern, Legal & Compliance

About the role#

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking an Intern for the Legal & Compliance Department for an 8-month term spanning Fall 2026 through Winter 2027. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will support the firm's in-house team with regulatory compliance, corporate law, and general legal administration.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate the completion of annual corporate filings in collaboration with Senior Executives.
• Manage corporate documentation, including saving, filing, and digitizing paper records while maintaining accurate naming conventions.
• Update and maintain the accuracy of corporate reference documents.
• Process and sort mail related to personal trading.
• Assist with various administrative tasks related to regulatory compliance and corporate law.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a third or fourth-year undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, or ongoing legal studies.
• At least one previous internship or professional experience within legal, compliance, finance, or operations, ideally at a financial or investment firm.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

• Term: 8 months (September 2026 – April 2027).
• Employment type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 annually.
