Community Options, Inc. offers an internship for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in the health and human services sector. This role provides exposure to public relations, training, fundraising, social media, recruitment, and person-centered supports. Interns work directly with experienced managers and receive training to support the organization's mission of serving individuals with disabilities.
What you'll do#
- Create and curate content for social media channels.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational strategies.
- Document processes and develop instructional materials for future reference.
- Prepare documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Assist senior team members with the development and execution of projects.
- Support the local Race Director with the planning and development of the annual Cupid’s Chase 5K Race.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, project reporting, and other duties assigned by the Executive Director.
- Engage in provided training to develop technical and professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, Business Administration, Human Resources, or Criminal Justice.
- A strong interest in health and human services.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
