Junior Software Engineer Internship

About the role#

Clarity Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Engineer Intern to contribute to software and data engineering platforms for the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and federal agencies. This internship provides direct exposure to the Cyber Operations domain and the nuances of government contracting. The role is designed for students to make operational contributions to real projects while developing professional skills.

What you'll do#

• Support CI/CD production environments.
• Contribute to operational software projects, including building microservices.
• Deliver on day-to-day objectives that impact team results.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide and interpret information.
• Adapt work methods to solve routine problems within existing systems.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance (US citizenship required).
• Experience with Go or Python.
• Understanding of network programming fundamentals, including networking, data structures, and data models.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: Experience with REST-based microservices, participation in CTF or hackathon challenges, and prior experience in a professional environment.
