CivicScience is seeking a People Operations / Human Resources Intern to partner with a business leader for the Summer 2026 program. This internship is designed to provide educational opportunities and project-based experience in human resources, branding, and communications. The role is unpaid and intended for students eligible to receive college credit.
What you'll do#
- Brainstorm creative ideas for Employee Resource Group programming.
- Draft content for internal communications.
- Support the transition of the company intranet to a new platform.
- Research innovative and responsible ways to incorporate AI into internal workflows.
- Draft job descriptions for critical roles.
- Influence and update new hire policies and procedures.
- Contribute to training, learning, and development tools for new hire onboarding.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in human resources, communications, or business.
- Knowledge of human resources best practices and communications principles.
- Excellent written communication skills, including impeccable grammar.
- Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Eligibility to receive college credits for this unpaid internship.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role based in the United States.
- The internship lasts 8-12 weeks with a time commitment of up to 20 hours per week.
- Preference is given to candidates located in the greater Pittsburgh region.
