About the role#
The Arena Student assists with facility operations, including building cleanliness, sanitation, and ice surface maintenance. This part-time role supports the Community Services and Strategic Partnerships department and requires availability on evenings, weekends, and public holidays from September to April.
What you'll do#
- Assist with nightly and weekend cleaning operations.
- Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling according to departmental procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of lobbies, washrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, dressing rooms, spectator areas, and the building perimeter.
- Support ice surface flooding operations and assist with user event setup and teardown.
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized school, such as high school, college, or university.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Good skating ability for Public Skating Patrol duties.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
