Student Ministry Assistant (Temporary)

About the role#

The Student Ministry Assistant is a full-time, temporary position based in Port St. Lucie. This role supports the campus team by managing the 5th- and 6th-grade ministry environment, known as the MIX. The position requires a 40-hour work week, including Sundays and Wednesday nights, for a 12-week duration from late August through late November.

What you'll do#

• Serve and care for students and families within the 5th- and 6th-grade environment.
• Lead all aspects of the Sunday morning MIX environment and support Wednesday night student ministry.
• Manage ministry communication directed toward parents.
• Oversee the scheduling of and communication with volunteers.
• Build and mentor a team of adult volunteers, including Service Volunteers and Group Leaders.
• Develop and mobilize students to lead and serve within the Students Ministry.
• Collaborate with Campus Teams to encourage student participation in weekend worship and other church volunteer opportunities.
• Participate in all Student Ministries meetings and events.

What you'll need#

• A college degree or current enrollment in a degree program, preferably in a field related to ministry, Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, Sociology, Public Health, or Political Science.
• At least 2 years of experience in student ministry.
• Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring teams or volunteers.
• Proficiency with computers and social media, with the ability to quickly master new technology formats.

• Location: On-site in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
• Status: Full-time, temporary, hourly, non-exempt.
