The Rad Tech Student Intern (RTSI) position provides an opportunity to gain clinical experience in pediatric radiographic procedures. This is a temporary, paid role lasting 6-12 months, designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Interns work under the constant supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) and the indirect supervision of a Radiologist to provide safe and effective patient care.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical pediatric radiographic procedures according to department protocols.
- Assist the radiologist during appropriate medical procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and verify all necessary patient paperwork.
- Operate diagnostic equipment including fluoroscopy, C-arm, and portable exam units.
- Execute essential functions within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Complete various clinical and clerical tasks as assigned by department leadership.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active enrollment in the second year of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Valid BLS certification.
- No prior work experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Willingness to comply with organizational health requirements, including immunization records and seasonal influenza vaccination.

- Work Modality: This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Starting Pay: $17.15/hr (actual offer determined by education and experience).
