About the role#
The Operations Supply Intern will support the Planning organization at Chemelex by leveraging data and cross-functional collaboration to improve operational performance. This role provides hands-on experience in demand, supply, and production planning, as well as inventory management and capacity planning. Interns will work alongside Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams to support data-driven business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Support demand, supply, production, and inventory planning activities.
- Assist with forecasting, production scheduling, and capacity planning.
- Monitor inventory levels, material availability, and supply performance.
- Analyze forecast changes, supply impacts, and capacity constraints.
- Prepare planning reports, KPI dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Extract and analyze data from SAP, manufacturing systems, and Excel to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Design and maintain dashboards to monitor operational metrics such as forecast accuracy, production performance, and on-time delivery.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
