Accounting Internship

About the role#

Chad Jones Law is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join the finance team. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting operations, with a primary focus on managing Accounts Payable pipelines and ensuring data integrity across financial systems. This position is ideal for a student looking to translate academic knowledge into practical, real-world experience.

What you'll do#

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to clean, organize, and analyze financial data for month-end reporting.
• Assist with data entry and categorization in QuickBooks Online, ensuring transactions match internal records and receipts.
• Audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and accurate general ledger mapping.
• Assist the finance team with digital filing, audit preparation, and special ad-hoc accounting projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• An analytical mindset with a sharp eye for spotting discrepancies, data entry errors, or mismatched numbers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with internal team members and external vendors.
• Prior experience navigating, entering data, or pulling reports within QuickBooks Online is a plus.
