About the role#
This internship provides exposure to both sales and engineering operations within the industrial machinery manufacturing sector. You will work on-site at the Tampa sales office, gaining practical experience in product design, market research, and field service. This is a full-time position for Summer 2026, with the potential to continue on a part-time basis during the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Manage engineering and inside sales tasks including parts orders, accounting, equipment selections, and design work.
- Conduct outside sales activities such as market research and cold calling.
- Execute special projects focused on office efficiency, data analysis, and market development.
- Visit job sites to gain exposure to field engineering and service tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a mechanical- or construction-oriented curriculum with an expected graduation date of May 2027.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical design tasks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is considered an asset.
- A commitment to working on-site for the duration of the internship.
