This role is an opportunity to explore how AI can support frontline retail teams by turning strategy into action. You will work on hands-on, experimental projects focused on applying AI to Store Operations. This position is designed to be execution-focused, moving beyond traditional business intelligence or reporting tasks to influence how performance management evolves at the company.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Store Ops and cross-functional teams to identify and apply AI solutions to store operations challenges.
- Design and test workflows that connect enterprise priorities to frontline execution, including automated prompts and performance feedback loops.
- Develop prototype performance frameworks that integrate data, objectives, and behaviors into actionable guidance for store teams.
- Translate AI-enabled insights into clear priorities and actions for leadership and frontline staff.
- Document findings from pilots, including adoption barriers and change management considerations.
- Ensure all AI applications align with responsible AI guidelines and enterprise governance standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an undergraduate degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate data into practical actions.
- Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and an interest in AI-assisted productivity tools.
- Curiosity regarding the intersection of technology, human behavior, and performance in a retail environment.
- Ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining structure and documentation during test-and-learn pilots.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for both operational partners and senior leadership.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (4 months).
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to be in-person at the Calgary head office 4 days per week.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
