Intern, Data & Analytics

About the role#

This is an 8-month, full-time internship within the Analytics & Science department. This role supports the Data & Finance team in transforming data to facilitate mission-critical disbursements and tax receipting for Member Foundations. This position is open to students pursuing degrees in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Administration.

What you'll do#

• Participate in data hygiene processes to support mission-critical disbursements and tax receipting.
• Collaborate on Quality Assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data files.
• Execute data hygiene procedures using proprietary methods.
• Update and run Python scripts to facilitate Quality Assurance workflows.
• Develop and prepare disbursement and tax receipting reports for Member Foundations.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in data structuring and cleaning.
• Familiarity with Data Quality Assurance frameworks.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including logical, text, and lookup functions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Professional communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction.

Location & details#

• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – April 30, 2027).
• Location: Toronto, Ontario. This is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days per month in the office.
• Compensation: $18–$20 per hour.
• Requirements: Interns must reside in Ontario for the duration of the placement. A company-owned laptop will be provided.
