About the role#
Call & Nicholas is seeking a geotechnical or geological engineering intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Tucson, Arizona, with a maximum of 30 hours per week during normal business hours. Candidates must be local to the Tucson area.
What you'll do#
- Perform data reduction using stereographic, statistical, and geospatial analyses.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for field and analysis work.
- Conduct laboratory testing, including soil and rock strength assessments.
- Assist with site characterization, geologic and geotechnical mapping, and geomechanical core logging.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, mining engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or biology.
- Between 0 and 5 years of experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
