Web Development Student

About the role#

Buttcon is seeking a Web Development Student for a full-time contract position. This role focuses on supporting the launch and ongoing maintenance of the company's corporate website. You will work alongside the marketing team to handle front-end development, content implementation, and design optimization to create a modern digital experience.

What you'll do#

• Support the development, maintenance, and launch of the enhanced corporate website.
• Build and update pages using WordPress and the Divi theme builder.
• Develop and implement responsive front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Assist with website styling, layout enhancements, and user experience improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement digital assets, including content, images, and forms.
• Perform quality assurance, troubleshooting, and bug fixes across multiple browsers and devices.
• Support website optimization, including page speed improvements and accessibility compliance.
• Document development work and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary program in Web Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Experience working with WordPress and the Divi theme builder.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with React and modern front-end development practices.
• Understanding of responsive web design principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Compensation: $20.00–$24.00 CAD per hour
