About the role#

The Bunge North America Safety Internship Program offers exposure to various aspects of safety management within a food and beverage manufacturing environment. This full-time, paid summer internship provides a foundation for a career in the safety field by engaging participants in projects that support site-specific safety culture and improvements.

What you'll do#

• Support safety initiatives by participating in projects identified by the site.
• Develop training materials and assist in training development.
• Update procedures, safe work instructions, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Conduct hazard assessments for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and confined spaces.
• Review Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and completed permits.
• Track and trend proactive and reactive safety metrics.
• Conduct procedural gap analyses and safety audits.
• Analyze data and develop reports detailing corrective actions.
• Travel to other Bunge facilities for training, development, and operational assistance.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate program.
• Academic background in Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Agriculture, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in standard PC applications.
• Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
• Willingness to travel as required.

• Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
• Term: Summer 2026 (approximately 16 weeks).
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: Starting at $23.70 per hour.
