The Bunge North America Safety Internship Program offers exposure to various aspects of safety management within a food and beverage manufacturing environment. This full-time, paid summer internship provides a foundation for a career in the safety field by engaging participants in projects that support site-specific safety culture and improvements.
What you'll do#
- Support safety initiatives by participating in projects identified by the site.
- Develop training materials and assist in training development.
- Update procedures, safe work instructions, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Conduct hazard assessments for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and confined spaces.
- Review Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and completed permits.
- Track and trend proactive and reactive safety metrics.
- Conduct procedural gap analyses and safety audits.
- Analyze data and develop reports detailing corrective actions.
- Travel to other Bunge facilities for training, development, and operational assistance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate program.
- Academic background in Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Agriculture, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in standard PC applications.
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel as required.

- Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2026 (approximately 16 weeks).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: Starting at $23.70 per hour.
