Real Property and Facilities Management Intern

About the role#

The Real Property and Facilities Management Intern supports the management and maintenance of real estate assets, facilities operations, and capital improvement projects. This role provides hands-on experience in property management, space planning, vendor coordination, and sustainability initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Assist in maintaining and updating property records, lease agreements, and asset inventories.
• Support the coordination of routine maintenance and repair activities across facilities.
• Analyze space utilization and assist with space planning and allocation projects.
• Conduct research on industry best practices related to facilities management and real estate.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors on service delivery and performance tracking.
• Participate in site inspections and document compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Aid in the preparation of reports, budgets, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Assist in planning and coordinating office moves, renovations, or sustainability projects.
• Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, document filing, and data entry.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CAD or space planning software is a plus.
• Interest in facilities operations, project management, and real property administration.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting.
• Fluency in a second language in addition to English is encouraged.
