Engineering Intern - Summer Internship

About the role#

This summer internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing and product design at Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers to support product development, process improvement, and manufacturing operations.

What you'll do#

• Assist in engineering projects related to manufacturing and product design.
• Analyze and interpret data to improve processes and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and solve production or mechanical issues.
• Support manufacturing teams by working on process optimization and workflow improvements.
• Document engineering changes, technical reports, and process updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Understanding of engineering principles, probability, statistics, and process optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations.
• Ability to apply technical analysis to solve real-world problems.
• Ability to walk and stand in a manufacturing environment for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work in a facility with moderate noise levels and exposure to dust, while wearing required safety equipment including safety-toed shoes and glasses.
