About the role#
As a QNX Application Engineering Student, you will join a team tasked with conceiving, implementing, and executing creative applications using QNX technology. After completing a course on QNX application programming, you will work with Field Application Engineers using hardware and software development kits. Projects may include autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other systems built on the QNX operating system.
What you'll do#
- Research QNX technology and its application usage.
- Conceive, develop, and execute an embedded software and hardware project plan.
- Build a hardware prototype that uses the software developed by your team.
- Record and present your demonstration internally and at external events where applicable.
- Document your research and demonstration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Electrical Engineering program with an emphasis on software development.
- Proficiency with the C language and scripting languages such as Python.
- Comfort working within Linux and Windows development environments.
- Knowledge of Operating System fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with hardware development kits like Raspberry Pi or Beaglebone Black is an asset, as is knowledge of Agile development methodology.

- Compensation: Paid position ($43,472.00 - $59,280.00 base salary range).
