Intern- BI & Integration QA & Support

About the role#

This summer internship offers hands-on experience with business intelligence solutions, data integration processes, and quality assurance. You will work alongside the Business Intelligence, Application, and Integration teams to ensure the reliable performance of data pipelines, integrations, and analytical systems.

What you'll do#

• Assist with QA testing for BI dashboards, ETL and integration processes, APIs, and data workflows.
• Execute test cases, perform regression testing, and document defects in tracking systems.
• Support BI and integration users by troubleshooting issues and providing technical resolutions.
• Conduct data validation to ensure consistency and accuracy across source systems and downstream reports.
• Monitor integration jobs, system performance, and escalations for technical failures or data anomalies.
• Create and maintain documentation, including test cases, integration flow diagrams, and user guides.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and integration specialists to improve data quality and system reliability.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of SQL, databases, and data integration concepts such as ETL, APIs, and file-based transfers.
• Knowledge of software testing practices; exposure to QA tools is an asset.
• Experience with scripting, such as Python, or BI tools like Power BI is an asset.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Employment Type: Full-time contract.
• Compensation: $21-$24 per hour, dependent on education level, skills, and experience.
