About the role#
BFL CANADA is seeking a Claims Intern to join the team in Montreal. This role provides clerical and administrative support to claims advisors, assisting with the management of claims-related tasks and accounting functions tied to Lloyds contracts. This is a full-time, paid internship with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Manage claims-related tasks, including opening new claims and processing transactions in Lineage and LEO.
- Handle incoming mail and process claim-related correspondence.
- Manage inbox tasks such as issuing open/close notices, organizing files, and generating loss runs.
- Perform accounting-related tasks, including reconciling accounts and processing checks.
- Manage Lloyds and MUNI checks, including data entry, scanning, and preparing items for mailing.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a college or bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Communications.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders outside of Quebec.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of EPIC is considered an asset.
