About the role#
The College Intern for Planning and Development Services performs a variety of projects and tasks within the department to support daily operations. This role offers the opportunity to receive mentorship from experienced staff while contributing to department goals and gaining hands-on professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide general administrative and clerical support for daily operations.
- Communicate professionally with staff, clients, and internal or external contacts to maintain efficient workflows.
- Conduct basic research and assist in the preparation of summaries, reports, and recommendations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of special projects to support skill development.
- Collaborate with other departments to act as a liaison for communication and coordination.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive documents, information, or discussions.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Submission of a class schedule, transcripts, or other documents verifying enrollment.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and post-offer medical examination.
- A valid New Mexico driver's license by the date of hire.
- Ability to complete all assigned FEMA training.
