Intern - Corp IT, Grid Operations Applications

About the role#

This internship position within Corp IT, Grid Operations Applications offers exposure to various projects and activities within the energy industry. The role is temporary and nonexempt, with part-time hours available in the spring and full-time hours during the summer. Interns will have opportunities to network with leadership and participate in professional development events.

What you'll do#

• Work with Core Unix/Linux Server CLI, including file and text processing, text editors, and shell scripting.
• Develop applications using Microsoft .Net technologies, with a preference for C#.
• Manage and query Oracle or SQL Server databases, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Utilize Python to develop machine learning or statistical models.
• Use SQL to manage database tables and perform ETL processes.
• Perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy while maintaining company confidentiality and compliance standards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or a related field.
• Sophomore standing or higher.
• Availability from Spring 2026 through August 2026.
• Coursework in data analytics, machine learning, statistics, or computational mathematics is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
