    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026 at the BENTELER Group facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role focuses on supporting the maintenance and quality management of production equipment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist skilled trades personnel with the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
    • Focus on maximizing equipment uptime.
    • Research, source, and recommend parts required for machine repairs or outside services.
    • Provide support for various tasks assigned by your direct supervisor.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited educational institution, pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
    • Entry-level experience with PLCs and industrial electrical systems.
    • Entry-level knowledge of automation technology, programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
    • A systematic approach to problem-solving and strong communication skills.
    • Preferred: Experience with metal forming and welding.
    • Preferred: Knowledge of process analysis, including Pareto charts, 5Why/8D, lean manufacturing, and GD&T.
