About the role#
Barnes Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Intern to support aviation and aerospace component manufacturing. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position located in West Chester, Ohio. The role operates on a rolling basis and does not offer sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Develop tooling and manufacturing concepts for parts.
- Prepare drawings, planning documents, and process specifications.
- Engage in tool design and CAD/CAM definition.
- Provide production program support and planning.
- Support company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Assist with engineering analysis, research and development, and the interpretation of customer requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering program at an accredited university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, manufacturing information systems, and AutoCad.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management, quality, manufacturing, and sales teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage work time effectively.
- Capability to work in both an office environment and on the manufacturing floor.
